How do I know if my desired name is already in use?

The InterNIC provides a web form to query the domain name registry or you can go to checkdomain to check Hong Kong local domain name status.
 

How long can my domain name be and what characters can I use?

Domain names must be 26 characters or less including the top level domain, such as ".com.hk" or ".org.hk", at the end. A domain name may be composed of letters, numbers, or the dash, "-", character.
 

Can I install my own CGI scripts?

Yes! You get your own individual cgi-bin directory, in which you can install your own CGI scripts. Our server has a complete unix development environment installed, including perl, tcl, and gcc.
